Veronica was awakened from an afternoon nap around 3pm to loud screaming and yells from outside her bedroom door. Through all the noise she could distinctly make out her mother’s scream.
In a panic she quietly ran out of her room and made her way down the hallway. Not knowing what dangers lay ahead of her she made sure to stay hidden and quiet as she made her way through the house. Cursing herself for leaving her gun behind she was not prepared for what she was about to find.
The smell of gun powder and blood hung in the air surrounding her as she walked quietly towards the screams. Unconsciously holding her breath the closer she got to the screams. Her eyes widened in horror as she sees her mother on her knees next to her unmoving father’s body.
“No please don’t kill me. Please.” Her mother, Cynthia, pleads through her cries.
A man Veronica does not recognize was in front of her mother with a gun pressed to her forehead.
“Please you have the wrong house. We are not who you think we are.” Her mother pleaded.
The man laughs but does not say a word. His eyes cold as ice but yet were so full of hatred.
BANG!
As fast as the shot rang out the men disappeared, leaving behind the bodies of her parents laying lifeless on the floor bathed in their own blood.
The moment she heard that gunshot Veronica felt her whole world shatter around her. It felt as if the air in her lungs was no longer there and everything began to fall apart.
Veronica’s demeaner became hard and cold in that instant. Seeing her parents gunned down in front of her in their own home at just 20 years old was that catalyst right through her soul that she wasn’t sure she would ever be able to come back from. She knew in that moment that her whole life would never go back to the way it was before.
As soon as that man pulled the trigger, she was now the Donna of the Sanchez Mafia.
Her father, Francesco, was the most feared Don in history in all of America. Veronica wasn’t sure she was ready but she knew that she would not let anyone take what belong to her. Her father had been grooming her since she was born and now was her moment to take what was hers. Apart from the stresses and pressures of being the head of the family brings, she knew that her father would be proud of her.
After the police had cleared from the house, Veronica called for a bosses meeting to be held that same night.
All the bosses arrived at the headquarters within the next 3 hours. The headquarters building was a tall building mostly made of metal and glass. There were 20 floors full of offices and other meeting rooms. Some of the offices were legit while most were not. There were offices in the building for each of the bosses as well. Each room was locked with a biometric locking system. All of which allowed the Don or Donna to unlock any room as necessary.
As she entered the conference room, she was met with 15 men sitting around it waiting for her to arrive. She walked to the head of the table before Veronica began speaking to the men, “As most of you know my parents were gunned down tonight in our home. I want this said before anyone else gets any ideas, I am your new Donna. This is my birthright and I will not give it up to anyone. If you don’t fucking like it, there is the fucking door.”
She waited for a few minutes while everyone shifted uncomfortably in their chairs.
“Good now that, that is settled. Here is how this is going to go. I want to personally review all contracts, alliances, and business endeavors that we have in place now.”
“But Veronica-” Her uncle Craig started.
“No buts. I will not tolerate any interruptions. This is not a democracy. I am the head of this family and you will respect me. I expect you to listen and only speak when I say so. Is that clear?”
“Yes Donna.” Craig states with a smile on his face.
“Good. Now I want all contracts and all business info to me by tomorrow at noon. I want meetings set up with every single person we do business with. Both in business and the soldiers. Everyone will meet with me. Also, the funeral will be held in 3 days at the cathedral and I expect everyone to be there.”
“Yes Donna.” They said in unison.
“One last thing. Find out who killed my parents and bring them to me. They are to be delivered to me alive. Put in the contract that I will be giving a finder’s reward if found by midnight.”
“Yes Donna.” They all said.
Lost in thought, Veronica stared at the table for several minutes before she realized she was not alone. “Don’t you all have stuff to do?” She says in an annoyed tone
At her words, there were just sounds of papers shuffling and chairs moving as everyone hurried out of the room.
“I’ll find all of you fuckers and make you pay.” She murmured under her breath before getting up to leave the room. She rode the elevator down to the lobby and out to her awaiting car without speaking or acknowledging anyone.
She went back home to try to sleep for the night. As she walked in she is met with cleaners who are extracting the blood from the carpet. Stopping in her tracks for a moment to watch, she could feel tears well up in her eyes making her shake her head and head off to bed. Of course, she wasn’t able to sleep but she did lay down at least.
The next morning Veronica arrived at the funeral home to plan her parents’ funeral. She was met by a funeral planner who brought her into an office to give them privacy. The office had a big desk full of papers, a table also full of papers, two very uncomfortable chairs and several file cabinets along the back wall. There was no outside window in the room, the only one was in the door to the office.
“We are very sorry for your loss and we will do everything in our power to make this whole process as easy as possible.” Mr. Downs says with a sad smile on his face.
“I want the funeral in 2 days at the cathedral on Main Street.”
“Not a problem. We can handle that.”
Veronica nods but does not say anything.
“Let’s head into the casket room first and we can get those picked and set aside.”
Veronica follows him into the room and picks out two beautiful caskets for her parents. A gold one for her mother with a white silk inlay and a silver one for her father with a white satin inlay. Despite the situation Veronica is happy to know that her parents will be comfortable in their final resting places.
“What are you thinking as far as flowers go?” Mr. Downs asks, pulling her out of her thoughts.
“There should be flowers everywhere. My mother loved pink and red roses with sunflowers so everything should be covered in that.”
Mr. Downs nods and writes that down. He makes some suggestions in arrangement types and she nods her head. She doesn’t really care what the flowers look like as long as they are bright.
“We will get everything taken care of for you, Donna. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask. We will see you at the cathedral in 2 days.” Mr. Downs says as a sad smile plays on his lips.
Veronica gives her thanks and shakes his hand before leaving the funeral home to head home for the night.
After spending all day at the funeral home, making all the arrangements she was overwhelmed by having to return home alone. There was still a trace of blood on the floor where her parents’ dead bodies were just hours before.
Veronica went into the living room looking around where the blood was, remembering everything from that night. She wanted every detail to get placed in her memory for good. She knew she would use that as fuel to keep going and to punish the men that killed them.
The clean-up crew came in about 2 hours later. Instead of watching them work, Veronica went to her room to get at least a couple of hours of sleep. Since Gavin, her personal guard, was present, she didn’t feel like she needed to stay and watch.
The next morning, she was awakened around 5am by her cell phone ringing.
“Yes?”
“Donna.” One of her soldiers says on the other end.
“What is it?”
“What is it?” Veronica asks in a sleep filled worried tone as she sits straight up in bed. “We have them.” “Take them to the chambers. I’ll be right there.” She demands as she jumps from bed. She throws her phone on the bed as she gets into the shower. “Yes Donna.” Veronica hurries and gets dressed in black slacks and a black button-down sleeveless blouse. She puts on her black six-inch stilettos and grabs her phone. Her driver meets her at the front door. He bows his head in greeting but neither of them speaks. It takes just 10 minutes of driving to reach the torture chambers. She is greeted by more of her solders as she enters the underground bunker. They all bow their heads in greeting. The bunker is a solid concrete building with several rooms for holding prisoners and a couple of meeting rooms. There is a large room with couches, a TV, and a fridge on the one end for the guards to use to rest and relax if they need to. Two of her mafia bosses, Peter and Antonio, are outside
“Try me.” Veronica pleads. “Your father asked me to.” Antonio says in a shaky breath. Veronica laughed at him and then the whole room erupted in laughter. “Seriously that’s what you are going with? That is seriously the best excuse you can come up with. Try again but this time make it more believable.” “I am being truthful Donna. Your father told me he had terminal cancer and wanted to die in an honorable way.” “Prove it.” “I can’t Donna.” “Cody.” “Yes, Donna.” “Have the coroner look at my father’s records and body. Report back immediately if he indeed had any cancer.” Antonio’s face pales as he listens to her instructions. “Yes, Donna.” Cody grabs his phone and makes a call. “The doctor just got done with your father’s autopsy and there was no sign of cancer that he noted on his body anywhere. He said he needs 5 minutes to review the chart.” “Fine.” Veronica says with a wave of her hand as he paces the room waiting anxiously for an answer. About 5 minutes later, Cody’s pho
“Yes, Donna. We understand. Would you like to help or should we take care of this?” “You can do whatever you want with these two but you have to keep Julius alive for me.” “It would be an honor Donna.” Javier says with a nod to Frank and their guards. The men advance on the outside two and have them drained of blood and dead within 5 minutes. “Donna, who did this one? That’s impressive.” Javier asks pointing towards Antonio. Veronica smirks and says, “I did that. He was the one who put out the contract and betrayed the family.” Both men exchange glances and smile. They motion for her to approach Julius. She picks up the same filet knife she used on Antonio. She twirls it in her hand as she walks towards him. “Now, Julius it’s just you. So, anything you want to say?” He says nothing and continues to look forward. Veronica looks at Javier and Frank and they both nod to her. “We will not stop you Donna.” Javier says. “I wouldn’t allow you to anyway.” She says with a laugh. Ver
“I think we should deal with them together Donna.” Javier says. “Good idea. Let’s send a message from one of their phones and ask for a sit down. Cody?” “Yes Donna?” “Figure out who has the most contact either Antonio or Julius’s phone with their group. Then send a message that their group is in control and they need a group meeting for today.” “Yes Donna. I’ll set it for this evening.” “Whoever’s phone you use, we have to meet on their territory so let me know where we are going.” “Yes Donna.” “Thank you Donna for your help in this matter. We will stay in town until after the meet.” “We will accommodate you in one of the villas here on the compound, if you would like.” Javier nods and Veronica calls out “Peter?” “Yes, Donna.” “Set them up in one of the big villas. We will be having a meeting today. Cody will give you the details. And where are the contracts?” “Right here Donna.” “Thank you. Now if you will all excuse me I am going to go get cleaned up and head to the gym
The person doesn’t say anything so she turns around to find her longtime boyfriend, Tony, leaning against her locked bedroom door staring at her with a smirk on his face. They have been dating all through high school and still together after six years. “You.” Is all he says as he looks at her with an emotionless face. She smiles at him but stays where she is standing. “What are you going to do about it?” He smirks and pushes off of the door before slowly walking to her. He bends down and kisses her on the lips and moves his tongue along her lips to enter her mouth. He unties her towel and lets it fall to the floor. He stands back and looks over her body. Veronica is beautiful with deep olive skin and dark brown long wavy hair. Her hair cascades down to her mid-back. She has deep chocolate-colored eyes that look like they can see through your soul. She has a perfect body with large, perky breasts and a perfect heart shaped ass. She is pretty short at 5’4”. Veronica is very toned bu
“Yes I would like that very much, Donna.” Javier says. “Would it be okay if my son joins us? He will be taking over the cartel in the next year and I would like him in on our meetings.” “Yes that is fine. Would you like to go to dinner now?” “After you Donna.” Javier motions for Veronica to lead the way out. They enter Veronica’s car and are soon followed by Javier’s car containing his son. They arrive at one of the mafia’s restaurant and are escorted to a private room. After about 10 minutes, there is a knock on the door when Javier’s son is announced. The man walks into the room and Veronica found herself with her mouth open as she stared at him. Her heart was skipping a beat and thudding loudly in her chest. He is a tall man standing over 6 feet tall with olive skin and black hair that is slicked back. He has bright green eyes that light up the room. He is a very muscular man as well. He is wearing a button up light blue shirt with sleeves that are rolled up to his elbows as i
Veronica is stunned by who is on the other side of the door as she opens it. “Luis, what are you doing here?” “I just wanted to talk to you and make sure that you are okay.” Luis looks her over. She is in short shorts that show the bottom of her ass cheeks and a tight white tank top that has her nipples on full display. He feels his dick instantly going hard at the sight of her. “I’m okay. Thank you for checking on me.” She says with a sad smile. “Can I come in Donna?” Veronica’s eyes go wide in surprise at him asking to come in her room. “Sure…I guess.” She moves to the side so Luis can come in. She closes the door behind them and sits down on the bed. Luis sits in front of her looking at her. Veronica’s bedroom is a large room with a king size bed covered in white bedding and pillows. Beside the bed there are end tables with lamps and an alarm clock on the right table. There are two dressers on one side of the room with mirrors and a TV hanging on another one. There are two d
“Yes, my son. What’s going on? Wait are you just coming home?” Luis smiles and nods his head. “Yes I am just coming home. I want to talk to you about my future.” “Okay…what’s going on?” “I have found someone that I want to spend the rest of my life with but it would mean that the makeup of the cartel may need to change if you still want me to take over.” “What do you mean by that?” “The Donna.” Luis says with a bright smile. “She is the most amazing woman I have ever met in my entire life. I want her to be my everything forever.” “You can’t be serious. You just met her last night.” “I am beyond serious papa. At this point, I need you to make a decision whether you want me to still take over the cartel or not. I am okay either way. I do not want to do anything that you do not agree with either so I am hoping to be able to get your blessing.” “I appreciate that son. It would make both the cartel and the mafia bigger and better than we are now.” “That’s exactly what I was thinkin
