CHAPTER 40

I hurried out of the room to look for Xander.

I kept asking but nothing.

Maybe my son and I left him here, what about Elizabeth and me? Should we stay at the hotel? Eh, I really don't have any money, even the pesos we brought with us after our clothes and other belongings are in his house.

"Excuse me ma'am?"

"Huh?" I was surprised to see this woman approaching me.

"Are you all right? Your wound is bleeding." He was specifically on my arm.

I looked at my arm that was red and starting to bleed again. My wound isn't that big but it's deep, that's probably the reason why I'm still bleeding until now.

"I'm fine, thank you." I tried to smile at him. I notice people staring straight at me and I have something else to mumble.

"All right I'll go first." I said don to the woman and she turned her back.

I feel like my body is so hot even though it's cold here in the hotel. The hotel is really cold, so I know I'm the problem. Maybe my fever won't go away because of this wound.
