My breath caught in my throat at Alex’s sudden proposal. I could hardly believe it.

Never would I have ever imagined that I would get proposed to by Alex, but then again, I was too focused on the pressing issues to think about anything else.

I couldn’t stop the tears from forming in my eyes. I have never been proposed to. I was just given away by my parents to Lucian when he became the Alpha, so I never knew how it felt like, until now.

“Yes,” I whispered breathlessly, staring into his deep blue eyes that were threatening to suck me in. “Yes, I’ll marry you, Alex. I love you,”

He didn’t reply, instead he leaned up and planted a kiss on my lips, a soft and sweet one that opened up his true emotions to me, and a tear rolled down my eye.

“I love you more than life,” he whispered against my lips, causing me to shiver in delight. My wolf, Lady purred contentedly at our mate’s choice of words.

“But we have to let everything settle down before we get married,” I had to put it out so
