By the time we finally made the decision to depart, the sun had already risen. Alex and I had indulged in waves of blissful ecstasy throughout the night, making it impossible for us to have embarked on our journey. Moreover, we needed a few hours of rest to catch our breath and regain our strength, which further influenced our decision to delay our departure.

"Hey, are you alright?" Alex leaned down and whispered. He was ready to shift, but I could hardly budge. "Do you think you can manage to walk?"

I groaned and struggled to sit up, uncertain if my legs would obey my commands. "I don't know, they feel numb and unresponsive," I honestly replied.

With his support, I managed to get on my feet and take a few steps, but I felt completely drained. It was as if he had drained all my energy. I didn't even have enough strength left to shift, which was a major issue since we needed to leave urgently.

“I don’t think I have it in me to move,” I groaned aloud.
