Chapter 43: Andrew
After an hour’s wait, Sam returned. He knew that sometimes the Luna stayed at the Elemental Guard Barracks, especially if her group were on serving duty or punishment chores. The omega had thought this was the case and reported it back to Sam.
"Ah yes, I think I remember something about that. Apologies Omega Archie, I must have got my days mixed up. Our Luna’s schedule changes frequently, " Sam said, and he thought nothing of it that night. Neither did an exhausted Raoul, who came into an empty bed. He also thought she must be at the barracks. "I need to spend some quality time with her soon. I have really neglected her as of late!" Roaul thought as he drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Rose and David noticed that Jamie was missing. "That is not like her," Rose said. "She loves sword skills!"
David said, "Well, maybe she is ill. She has been looking extremely tired lately." Rose nodded her head in agreement.

Every two hours, the guard would drag her out, beat her and then sling her back into the water dungeon. She had had six beatings so far, and was feeling incredibly weak at this point. Ironically, the cold water had helped with the swelling, but not so much with the broken ribs and the broken nose. The beatings had not been a wasted opportunity. Bit by bit, she looked around the room.
