Even though they had been covered beyond recognition, I didn't need anyone to tell me who they were. I needed to do something to save them from the alpha's wrath.

"Hey, Declan," someone called me from the crowd. It sounded familiar. Curiously, I turned around.

"Felix!," I said. He was an old mate, one I had not seen in a long time. Just like most of the people who had gathered for another familiar execution experience, he didn't look happy.

"Mate, you gotta help those people up there," he said, pointing to the two people hanging.

"It's tough, mate," I said.

"I know, but you are different from your father and that brother of yours who takes so much delight in executing innocent people. I don't know who they are, but they don't fucking deserve what is coming to them. Save them," he said before walking away.
