"You will go to him and act like you know nothing. Find out what he's plotting against the pack."

"But father!"

"I know he trusts you, so you don't have to worry about him finding out."

"But father!" He wouldn't let me talk.

"Do that tonight and report to me tomorrow. Leave now."

Trying to protest was just an absolute waste of time. His mind was already made up, and I knew better than anyone that nothing was ever going to make him go back on his decision.

"As the alpha pleases," I said as I took the slow steps of his sight.
