Shameless Sister

In her room, Lydia sat on a chair by a large mirror, slowly combing through her hair.

~Din.

A loud and rude knock on the door, stopped Lydia’s actions.

“Sis, are you up yet?” Camilla's impatient voice rang. “There’s something I need to talk to you about, so can you open up fast?!”

Lydia chuckled. Speak of the devil.

The knock on the door became even more violent and impatient.

~DIN. DIN. DIN. DIN.

“Sis, it’s serious! I need to talk to you now. Open the door now…. Why are you always so selfish? I really need to talk to you,but you won’t even open the door?” Camilla erupted, her arrogant nature slowly poking its head out. Lydia thought it was amusing.

‘OH, my dear sister, you just knocked once and you expect me to fly to the door? I must have been stupid in my past life to not see the signs’

Lydia slowly got up from her chair and elegantly walked towards the door. As Camilla was about to knock on the door, she suddenly opened it.

“Yes Camilla?” Lydia answered in a cool and flat tone. It was too calm that Camilla’s initial fury vanished at a visible rate.

Eh?

Camilla was uncomfortable.

Wasn’t this her sister who would always coax her when she threw up a fuss? Why isn’t she doing that now? Was this damn mad finally angry at her? Camila took a deep breath recalling why she came.

She must not ruin their plans. Thus, with a forced smile, she stepped into the room cautiosly.

“Sis, you're not angry right?..... Anyway, you have to make breakfast today. We just fired the maid that you hired last week.”

At this point Lydia honestly thought that the she of the past actually needed to die. How did she not see through all these people? It’s not enough that she had to pay all their bills, but she also used to cook for them every week before going to work.

They would fire all maids and butlers she hired on a weekly basis, making it hard for anyone to work here. Because of this, her house was labeled as a demon castle to all employees in the city. Her family only wanted those they hired to work in the villa.  Her family was so overbearing. But in her past life, she truly loved them.

Camila looked around the room, inwardly proud that Lydia had the smallest room amongst them all. Yes. This was what a maid like her deserves. But what was up with Lydia’s current attitude?

Camilla kept a sweet smile on her lips, but her hands were currently gripping Lydia’s blanket furiously.

‘Bitch! Since when does this bitch deny me anything? How dare she say No? We did a favor by picking her up from the gutters. And she wouldn’t even cook for us? Is she mad at us? Who the hell does she think she is… AHH I’m getting so mad but I can't show her that I’m angry.I still need to ask for THAT.’ Camilla thought inwardly.

“Sis, did we do something to make you mad at us?”

“Mad? How can I be mad? It’s just that I was just too tired from working late last night, yet no one asked how I was.” Lydia said while massaging her temples as if to show that she had a headache. “Camilla… Am I not your sister as well?”

Camilla panicked and answered hurriedly.

“Of course you are…. Don’t mind me, sis. I'm just a little muddle-headed that's all. Since you're stressed you don’t need to worry about cooking. I'll explain it to mom and dad for you.”

Camilla observed Lydia and saw that although she acted strangely today, she did look somewhat weak and fatigued.

Thus, she believed Lydia’s excuse. After all, how could this dumb girl know of her family’s genius plans? Although Lydia was book smart, she was stupidly dumb when concerning personal relationships.

“Anyway sis, your lawyer came over today and wanted us to remind you about the importance of a will. He said he would make time to see you at your office to further talk about it.”

Lydia chuckled.

So impatient? It’s not even up to a day since she returned from the dead and they're already thinking about her Will.

“Don’t worry sis, I will write it soon” Lydia answered with a smile on her face.

“Great!” Camilla’s face brightened. “That’s good news, sis. It’s about time you get it done. Okay, okay. I have to go now… see you downstairs sis.”

Like so, Camilla rushed out of Lydia’s room. Probably to tell her parents.

Lydia smiled coldly at Camila’s disappearing silhouette.

In her past life, she always rejected the thought of a will because she just felt that it was unnecessary at the time. But when she finally turned 29, she finally succumbed to her parents, boyfriend and her lawyer and wrote the will 3 months before her death. So the only thing that kept her alive all these years was her will…. She worked hard to make her family comfortable, but they worked even harder to kill her… Is this what people meant by the circle of life?

Now that she’s back, she needs to get new bodyguards first.

Lydia took her phone from the bag, listening to the line ring.

~Bluuuuuuuup.

“I need a favor”

[Anything you need] Said a deep devilish manly voice.

“Good.”
