Chapter 38

I woke up in a bed. I felt so weak. I tried to sit but I heard Trevor's cold voice.

"Stay put! " His voice came from my left side.

He was bare chested and his lower body was covered with a white towel. His hair was wet. He walked towards me and sat on the edge of the bed. He felt my forehead and neck.

"How do you feel? " he asked while knitting his brows.

I wet my dry lips, "I feel fine now," I replied in a small voice.

A part of me wanted to ask him what happened to Robbie. Last thing I remembered was he aimed a gun at him.

"I already called Dr. Benitez. She will be here soon," he said. He seemed to be trying to read my mind.

"H-honey, what happened to..." I nipped my bottom lip when he angrily stood up and walked to his closet.

Looked like he didn't want to hear my question. I knew well that he was furious with what he saw but we needed to talk about it.
