Schuyler’s P. O. V.

I couldn’t tell exactly how I was feeling at the moment, but when Ezekiel still didn’t move an inch, I started to worry for myself. Ezekiel looked deeply into my eyes as if he was challenging me to show him something, but even if I didn’t want to, I had no choice but to look away from him again and close my eyes.

“I said drop your gun!” The man shouted again, anger and desperation were evident in his voice. “I’ll really kill this b*tch!”

A small whimper escaped my lips and my tears quickly formed in my eyes, but I knew that I had to act tough in front of this man. I can’t just satisfy him by showing how scared I am of him.

The sun was slowly disappearing from the sky and the stars were starting to show up. I felt when this man looked up in the night sky after the darkness slowly engulfed us and just as I was about to do the same, I saw Ezekiel move and in the blink of an eye, he was already in front of us and had managed to push the man away from me.
