Schuyler's P. O. V.

When we arrived at the party, people's eyes were on so that I felt conscious of my look. No one informed me first hand that we're going to an event like this and it was too late for me to react further after hearing it from Ezekiel, especially after what I just witnessed!

Ezekiel was greeted by many, but he never stopped to greet anyone and no one also dared to ask him who I was despite the obvious curiosity in their eyes.

From afar, I saw Alana and her family hanging around with their own circle. I got nervous for a moment so I stopped walking and face Ezekiel who glanced at me.

"I-I need to use the restroom, please?" I asked him.

Ezekiel furrowed a brow slightly before he calmly nodded at me. "Want me to go with you?"

My cheeks burned because of his question and the sudden thoughts in my mind. For a moment, I saw him smirking lightly at me before his face changed back to being emotionless again.

"I-I can manage," I let go of his arm before turning my back on him
