Schuyler's P. O. V.

When I woke up, I was already home and Anne was preparing a meal for me at the table on the balcony. She was so busy that she didn't notice me so I carefully stood up before going out of the room. Anne knew nothing when I locked the door from outside.

It's strange actually. There was completely no one around. The maids that used to scatter here are out of sight, but that's not a problem to me. I was glad, actually.

They can't fool me anymore. If the last time it happened, they managed to play me, not anymore. I shouldn't have trusted Ezekiel! H-He… He's a monster. I saw a maid carrying a tray of juice so I quickly ran to the side and hid from her sight. When she silently walked past me, I covered my face in fear before leaning on the wall. I took a deep breath as I decided to go now, but my feet froze on the floor as I came face to face with all of them.
