The reveal

I’d always been in control of my reactions, at least publicly. My grandfather had driven any impulsive displays of emotion out of me since I was a child.

In the words of Nicolas Ricci, emotion was weakness, and there was no room for weakness in the cutthroat world we lived in.

What just occurred right now is not how I wanted it to go at all. Nova and Priscilla were not supposed to meet yet, or ever. As I stand on the driveway watching Nova's car leave after she successfully found her phone, all I can think of is how this short meeting may have unleashed a lot of havoc.

"Fuck," I yell angrily on my way inside. I'm not surprised to find Priscilla lurking around the entrance. I'm sure she watched the whole thing through the window, looking and hoping I slip up.

I'm not stupid. I know what is at stake.

"Who's she?" Priscilla asks as I make my way to my room. I ignore her and I immediately hear the familiar sound of her footsteps following behind me. "I'm talking to you, Leonard
