The Last Night

Eva's POV

"Are you okay?"

"Do you want me to come?" While packing all my luggage in the suitcase, Nish's voice came from the other side of the phone as it was on the loudspeaker.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry." I respond in assurance.

"Hmm." She hmmed and said with an upset tone, "So, you are finally leaving tomorrow."

I paused momentarily before responding, "Yeah, I guess so."

I thought, after Mark knew I was leaving, he will do an argument with me, but to my surprise, he did not say anything.

Now, I feel I need to apologise to him for all my actions and words. At least before saying goodbye, I need to thank him, to decide, stay with my Mom. He could leave without owing anything if he wanted, but he did not. He chooses to stay.

"Hey Eva, our friends want to come airport tomorrow to bid you farewell." Nish's words made me instantly stop packing and pick up the call, changing its mode from loudspeaker to normal.

"Nish, I have a request." I instantly replied.
