Part Twenty-Seven.

“You are terrible,” Beatrice laughed, walking into her apartment, while Mia followed behind her with a packed paper bag in her hands.

“Yeah, I know, get moving,” Mia smirked, Beatrice moved out of Mia's way as she walked further into her apartment.

Cody, came out of the kitchen, wagging its tail as it ran over to Beatrice, who squatted immediately and spread her arms out to him.

“Hey, big boy,” Beatrice smiled, carrying her pet dog in her left arm while her right arm was holding the files she brought from the office.

Beatrice walked into her living room and placed the files neatly on the table and settled down on the seat, while she ran her fingers through Cody's fur.

Mia was busied unpacking the drinks and the mini bucket of chicken in a paper bag as she kept them on the table.

“Yeah, so how are we starting?” She asked, staring at Beatrice, wriggling her brow at her.

“Can't you take a break?” Beatrice fired at her and placed Cody on the seat beside her.

“Must you know what happened?”
