Chapter 42. Strong Blood

For three days, Isabella has been asleep after I bit her and gave her the venom of a wolf. I know she wouldn't want it and I made sure to keep it from her until she woke up. For humans, it is only normal that the body takes time to accept the wolf blood in their system. But still, I could not sit down and wait for the time that she would be awakened.

"Alpha Charles, please get some rest, And let me watch Isabella for tonight. I swear that if there is any movement, I will wake you up directly."

I turned around and looked at the face of Richard whose eyes were determined to relieve me of my post.

"No! If you want to keep watching her then stay with me. But I am here and I won't go anywhere! I want to be the first person she sees when she wakes up. I must know how she would react to the fact that she has changed."

I looked back at the sleeping form of Isabella on top of my bed and slowly lowered myself into the space beside her. Richard let out a sigh and stayed silent
