Chapter 69. First Trial

While I was inside the bathroom taking a cold shower, I felt her presence in the room carrying what I'd asked for. She probably wonders why I had to take a cold shower in the middle of dawn and I couldn't care less what she thinks. Under the shower, I muttered a series of explicit words and waited until she came out of my room before finishing myself inside the bathroom. I could not be distracted, there were too many concerns that required my attention better than this wolf! I have to get that inside my head.

I felt the dryness of my throat getting worse as I opened the door of the bathroom and saw the cold water on the pitcher beside the bed. I didn't hesitate to pick it up and drink directly from the big pitcher, ignoring the tall empty glass beside it.
