It had been hours, and Alpha Cade, along with a few of his pack members, was still searching for Zyra, but there was no trace of her. He noticed the tired expressions on their faces and decided to gather them around. Aria was still nowhere to be seen, so he concluded that she hadn't joined them for the search.

"You'll see her back at home then," Gaia said from behind him. Cade rolled his eyes inwardly.

His members assembled around him, and he began to speak, "I know you all must be exhausted by now. It's already night, and we haven't been able to find her..."

"What if she's dead?" a member asked. Cade scratched the back of his neck and shrugged.

"Well, that would be an entirely different story. Should I just tell Mom she's gone?" he asked his sister beside him. Gaia shrugged.

"We can try, but I doubt she would believe it," she replied, and he clicked his tongue.
