Chapter forty one

Alexander let out a breath. He didn't know if his eyes were playing tricks on him or not but from the shocked gazes of the crowd which mirrored his, he guess he wasn't hallucinating.

Claire had turned into something he barely recognized. She was without her black hair which he had come to love for a very long time.

In seconds, he found Aiden by his side, squinting his eyes at the seven where Claire stood. Not stood but was in the air by the wind.

"We need to leave. She's not herself. If we get close to her, she'll hurt us." Aiden held him by his hands attempting to take him out of there.

But his fears kicked in. What if she was in need and pain and couldn't control her powers?

No, he had to at least try. He turned his head and realized he was the only one who had gotten too close to her with Aiden barely holding on.

The wind had picked up and all the people who had come to watch had run away from the seven with fear reflected in their eyes.
