A month after the incident with the crown prince, James and Kaida got married. It was just a simple wedding that James's relatives and only close friends got invited to. They had had a happy life together. Their happiness became doubled when Kaida became pregnant. But when Kaida was already on her second term, she felt something was amiss. Every time she was hungry, her baby was absorbing her mana. It will just stop when she felt full. But when she became seven months pregnant, the baby was absorbing her mana more. She just disregarded it because she thought that maybe it was normal for her race. But when she thought about the people in their village, she never heard the pregnant woman complain about the child absorbing mana in their womb.
