🌿 Heidi’s POV 🌿

“Am I interrupting?” Daniella asked again as she got closer enough.

“Daniella? What…are you doing here?” Lucas asked as he disengaged from me.

Daniella smiled at him. “I’ve not had the chance to tell you that Heidi’s father and my mom are getting married.”

“What!” Lucas exclaimed.

I looked at Daniella, amazed at her gut. “My father is never going to marry your mother. Get that into your head. It’s never gonna happen, and do you know why? Because my mother will come back home!”

Daniella chuckled. “It is better you stop dreaming.”

“What did you just say to me?” I asked, glaring hard at her.

“Okay, girls. Please, can you stop already? Why are you always at each other’s neck?”

Just then, I looked up to see Luciana walking into the house too.

Grumbling, I turned and stared walking away.

“Heidi. Wait.”

It was Luciana, stopping me authoritatively.

I turned to look at her, folded my arms. “What do you want?”
