Chapter 2. The Law Firm
Noah Hudson raised his head towards the sky as he saw his close friend, Freddie approaching him from afar. His neat hair stood out firmly, pushing out the beauty of his outfit.
"The room is a perfect square," Freddie said as he shook hands with Noahmln
"It was also very cavernous. I could bet my life that the ceiling soared an astonishing five hundred feet overhead, supported by monolithic columns of granite."
"What are you talking about?" Noah asked, rather confused.
"I am referring to your dream of a grand law firm merged with my hotel, with over five hundred rooms inside it."
"I see," Noah eyes shrank as he invited Freddie to a plastic blue table rounded by three plastic white chairs almost touching each other.
"When are you going to start considering my ideas for the construction of your law firm?" Freddie asked.
"I don't know," Noah replied dryly instead of plainly telling Freddie that he had considered his idea and had ended up concluding it was both a waste of time and resources.
"You should think about my idea over and over again before you jump into a mistake that could be avoided," Freddie laughed.
Noah ignored him as he reminded himself that the secret to success was a long way away from him and he needed to be patient if he wanted to climb to the top.
"Please excuse me, Tea or coffee?" a female voice muttered.
Noah Hudson let his gaze climb the distinguished white-robed figure standing before him. The waitress.
The young woman, in her early twenties, was an American wannabe model who saw herself in an illusion where she was well-loved, treated with care, and incalculably wealthy.
Her once-brown hair had been dyed to green, and her awkward look reflected a lifetime of hope and ambition.
"Tea or coffee, gentlemen?" the waitress repeated impatiently, yet her voice soft like falling snow
"Coffee should do" Noah smiled.
"Fred?"
"I will have tea."
The waitress grabbed her pen and scribbled.
"Fred there's this girl, Clementine. Man, since I met this girl, I've been really into her. Of course you know my opinion about women, but this one's different man"
" Huh?"
" We kissed even, short, rough and imperfect, but it was enough perfection to me."
"What you saying Noah?"
"Am saying I think I've got a crush on this Clementine girl."
" That's trash and you know it."
" What?"
" Yeah. Girls take advantage of any guy that loves her, even worse crush on her." Freddie smiled.
Well, at this point, it is almost impossible for me to follow up with your ideas that has to do with the construction of my law firm.
You just have to accept that the building is already done and no matter what you say, my mindset is not going to change especially when it has to do with expanding the height of the law firm.
I also forgot to tell you that I have been contacted by a billionaire who is interested in my insurance company"
"Is he on Forbes’ list?" Freddie asked, accepting defeat.
"I don't know. You will have to ask him when you meet him."
Freddie and Noah pulled up in a regular night club. They slide out of an SUV range Rover smugly.
Noah wore shades, a head warmer and a dashing suit to kill the show, Freddie walking elegantly beside him, wore a black fancy suit as well. He had shades on, but no head warmer. In his hands, his smartphone and the keys to the SUV.
He turned to his right and his eyes met two valets, running hastily to where they stood.
Arrogantly, Freddie tossed the keys to them. They caught it and parked the vehicle properly.
Eyes turned every now and then to look at the young billionaire and his friend.
No one had any idea Noah was a billionaire tho, they must have thought him a regular business man, coming to a fancy regular club, with his new client ( Freddie ) to unwind a little.
Noah takes his shades off, his eyes scanning carefully through the room, to make sure it's a rather safe environ. He knew London was a safe place, very safe place, especially the parts of London where he resides.
"She's here," Noah whispered.
"Who's here?" Freddie asked with a look of perplexity handing around his jaws.
"behind the tall last with blonde hair, stands Clementine"
"Oh" Freddie smiled. Obviously amazed by her curves and physique.
"Shall we? "
They walked briskly to a couch in the club. The couch was were most influential and wealthy men sat, while they came clubbing.
Ladies usually came to meet them, and not the other way round.
its the night of our livvvveeee

baby come to the dancing floor
Baby come to dancing floor
Oooo ooooohhhoo poo
The music played. Slowly, firmly stealing the waist and back side of the ladies, into some unimaginable world.
Noah nods rhythmically with the music. He smirked at a dancing lady with blonde hair. Bashfully she came. Nodding and acting seductively.
"I'd make you come from just watching me dance." A fair lady in a short gown say, with her eyes fixed dangerously on Noah.
"Freddie, did you hear that?"
Freddie nods, with a smile and a glint on his face. His smile didn't reach his eyes, but one could tell be got the message.
Afterwards, Noah's eyes drifted to where Clementine had perched. He said a little prayer in his mind. He hoped and.prayed no one in the club would pick interest in her so much, he would have to be jealous.
Baby tell me what's your name
Tell me what's your number
Is it me or something else
Cause your bakassi na thunder
You driving me insane
You mess with my medula
I no let you go in vain
And when I catch you na forever
Emergency, Emergency, you never see me coming through
(Emergency, Emergency, you never see me coming, haa!)
Emergency, Emergency, you never see me coming through
(Emergency, Emergency, you never see me coming, mayamaya)
The lyrics of the song sank into Noah.
It is was a song from a Nigerian artiste name Dbanj.
"Excuse me please," he say to the lady trying to impress him all this while. She stopped and turned to Noah. Noah waved her in a way that signified "get lost bitch."
He stood up with a drink in his hand, and a smile on his face. He makes his way to where Clementine perched with her friend Violet.
Chapter 3: Forbes' Editor in chief"This is the second time in a row that my name has been excluded from the Forbes’ list of billionaires in the United States of America," Matthew Hunter complained to Clementine as he read the magazine he was holding in his hand for the second time in a row."Maybe they don't consider your wealth to be genuine," Clementine suggested, trying to piss her father off."But, that is untrue. I have worked very hard to be where I am today in life. Even though, it is common for a man of my calibre to be involved in some shady business some times, the larger part of my wealth has come from honest negotiations. I am a clean businessman with a big heart for Legal practice, contract, legal practice, tourism and the beauty of nature.I see no reason why Forbes magazine would exclude my name from a list of the wealthiest men in this country.""Maybe they hate your guts and ar
Chapter 4. The LamborghiniClementine Hunter just returned from the firm, back home. Exhausted, famished and slightly irritated. She sighed as she tossed her hand bag to the cushion. Sinking into it's comforting embrace afterwards. After a few minutes, she stood up, restless, and uncomfortable. She walked upstairs to her room, switching the light on as she walked in.Her eyes were first attracted to the mirror on her left. She stared blankly at it, as she turned slowly side ways, admiring her curves. With both hands, she shook her hair, and peered at them intensely. A strand of hair in her head had turned grey."Hmmm" she sighed.Pulling it out instantly. She was too young to begin sprouting grey hairs already, she thought.Still staring at the mirror, Clementine reflected on the happenings around the firm that day."His hot anyway" her though

Leah said, “Where are we going?”Freddie said, “The railroad station.”“Why?”“Because I’m a responsible copper. I delivered Valerie as a attainable suspect. Which intended the uniformed division got his picture. The toes on the street. They confirmed it around. A cash changer at the railroad station recognized it. From a couple of days ago. Which makes him your business, not mine.”“Thank you.”“However,” Freddie said.“That doesn’t sound good.” This time, there was no barrier. Maybe because she was traveling alone, through an Announcer summoned of her own fierce will. But the way out was so easy. Almost too easy. The veil of blackness simply parted. A blast of cold tore into her, making her knees lock with the chill. Her ribs stiffened and her eyes teared in the sharp, sudden wind. Where was she? Lawrence already regretted her panicked jump through time. Yes, she needed an escape, and yes, she wanted to trace her past, to save her former selves from all the pain, to underst
