Eamon's pov

The day of reckoning had arrived. The stone circle stood as a solemn arena, the ancient stones weathered by time and bearing witness to countless battles of the past. The air was thick with tension, as if even nature itself held its breath, awaiting the clash of two alphas.

Alpha Jack and I stood at opposite ends of the circle, eyeing each other with a deadly mix of anticipation and hostility. The sky above was a canvas of shifting gray clouds, as though the heavens themselves were uncertain of the outcome.

The bell rang, its mournful toll echoing through the clearing. The battle had begun.

Alpha Jack's eyes bore into mine, filled with a predatory gleam. "Eamon, rest in peace in advance?" he taunted, his voice dripping with malice.

I clenched my fists, my heart pounding in my chest. "for someone who's about to die, you talk a lot," I retorted, my voice firm and unwavering.
