Eamon Pov.

My body ached, every muscle protesting, as I stumbled back into our pack territory. As I approached, I felt a heavy sense of foreboding. The familiar surroundings seemed different, altered in some unsettling way. My heart sank, as I saw a towering statue of Victor erected in the centre of the packgrounds. This was too quick; He could at least wait to give me a befitting burial first.

As I continued my weary walk, my eyes caught sight of Isadora and Lisa. They were standing near a car with suitcases piled at their feet. Isadora’s tear-streaked face turned to me, and without a second thought, she rushed towards me, tears in her eyes and overwhelmed with joy.

"My love!", she cried, throwing herself into my arms with a tight, passionate hug. Her warmth and presence were a balm to my battered soul, and I held her tightly, as if my life depended on it.
