Chapter 3: A bad day

Annie had just stepped out of the shopping mall when she got a call from assistant Steve. 

"Alo?"

Then, a loud voice rang out, startling Annie:

"Annie, where you are? Why did you not come to the company? All the documents and contracts you need to deal with are piled up here! Our staff is swamped with work and deadlines. If you don't come back now, this company will be ready to be closed."

Annie kept the phone away from her ears and did not pay attention to the gazes of the people around her, she was paying attention to the voice on the phone.

"That's so noisy"- she thought.

She looked back at the phone number displayed on the screen, determining that this was not the wrong phone.

"Oops! Hello! Sorry for not answering you. I thought you called the wrong number."

"..."

The voice was silent for about two minutes...

"Annie, please come back to the company... we need you! The contract needs you! Do you still remember the contract? How about the other project? I can't help you with that! No one can! Is there any manager like you? Even if you are busy with your divorce, you can't neglect the company, so please, come back!"

Annie still seemed to be calm.

"I'll be back later."- she said.

After that, Annie called the butler to bring her clothes home. Then, she started to go to the FC group. 

Bella is the heir to the FC group, her parents are the biggest shareholder of this group, so Bella has the shares of her parents, she also uses tricks to get a large number of shares in the hands of other shareholders, becoming the most powerful person. Dustin agreed to marry her only because of money. It is not strange at all.

Annie thought for a long time then stepped into her own company. The employees in the company all bowed to her. Annie just passed and gestured for them to continue working.

Annie went to her workroom, and picked up the phone to call assistant Steve:

"Bring me the documents of the upcoming project!"

She turned on her computer and started to think about the project. Currently, the most important thing is to learn about the development direction of FC Enterprise, and at the same time point out the future direction. Now, she needed information about the recent emerging events, along with some news from the business world. 

Annie carefully reads a large amount of email that has just been sent to her computer. She was just reading the third email when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in, please!"

Annie continued to stare at the computer screen, trying to read all the emails, while signaling to the person outside the door.

Assistant Steve pushed the door to enter, he held a lot of blue cardboard, then put them all on the desk: “Annie, here are the documents you need."

"Has anyone come to find me these days?"- she asked.

"Hm...Yes."

Assistant Steve turned over the plan note: "Secretary of the director Michael and Joyce had called, they wanted to make an appointment in advance."

"Micheal? Joyce? Who are they?"

"Micheal is the heir to the Vinwind, he has just taken up the office recently, and Joyce of PT workshop. Do you want to meet?"- said assistant Steve.

Annie stopped her hand, thinking for two seconds, "Yes, I meet. By the way, investigating to see if Vinwind and PT workshop has any relationship and.... their recent projects also."

"Alright, just give it to me, I'll try my best."

Then he walked away...

Annie then searched for FC's latest project plan. She read through it in turn, then quickly compared it with the figure recorded on the computer. After a while, she picked up her phone to call Steve:

"Who wrote this plan? Tell him to hurry to the HR department to get his salary for this month and get out of this company."

Assistant Steve is always swamped with the projects and meeting plans for the manager, so he doesn't have much time to ask Annie about the reason. He soon gets used to this.

At first, Steve might not understand why his manager fired that worker, but then he found that the person who was fired just made a very big mistake in this project. And this project is very so important, the amount of money invested in it is enormous, a small mistake can cause terrible damage. Annie's actions can become an example for everyone in the company, making them more careful while working. 

But the talented manager was drowning in documents right now. This was the first time she had to deal with so many projects and jobs. She started to remember the past...

[Hey, hey, focus on your work, then quickly finish the mission.] -A bright blue light emitted from Annie's phone screen.

The box chat began to show text...

[That's right, I have just edited and changed a little bit, for the sake of convenience delivery, I will contact you on your phone. The information about reward and punishment will be reported by that method. Please pay attention to your phone!]

Annie shook her phone: "So if I don't have a phone, I can't get the information and my mission?"

[Yes!]- the system quickly answered.

Annie then threw her phone aside and continued to deal with the remaining projects...

When the time was over, Annie looked back at her achievements and thought about how to deal with all these remaining documents. Despite trying her best, there were still too many problems to resolve. Annie felt a bit depressed, and finally she decided, to let the staff… work overtime. When hearing the order, all the employees felt unfair, but they couldn't do anything...

The documents, as well as the project, had to be turned over from the beginning, and they couldn't miss any mistakes. The project was started two weeks ago and is being on the development stage, but forcing them to turn over from the beginning, that's really unfair. They were so tired...

About Annie, after reviewing all the documents from the beginning of the project up to now, she had found some important issues. She continued to stay in the office until evening, she even skipped lunch and dinner...

Until eight p.m, Annie just realized that she hasn't eaten yet. Then she decided to stop working. All the employees in the company could come home also. They couldn't deal with all the projects only in one day, that's impossible.

Right now, at the mansion ...

Dustin had just finished his dinner, sitting in the living room, reviewing his reports. He looked at the clock on the wall and suddenly realized that Annie hasn't come home. He was worried for a bit. Today he received news from the stalker that after going to the shopping mall, Annie went to the company immediately, and she never walked out the door since the afternoon. He suspected Annie of betraying him.

The door opened, Annie entered with a pile of documents.

"Oh my god, my lady..."

The servants in the house came to help Annie.

"Put these away for me! Don't forget to prepare hot water and dinner!"- she said.

Then she quickly went upstairs without looking at Dustin as usual.

Annie was just tired and wanted to get some rest but she didn't know that Dustin misunderstood her...
