Sophia's POV.

I waited for his axe to cut off my arm first but it never came. There was a minute of silence and then someone clapped.

I opened my eyes to a half of its size to see what was happening. "Had they changed their minds and wanted to go boiling me in hot water?".

I looked around to confirm and to my greatest surprise, all the men had left the table and were seated far from me. They held beer in their hands and had smiles on their faces.

"What is going on?".

"I like her". Their leader said. "she doesn't scare easily. She is one woman I would have loved to have as a Luna. A woman who would easily take a shot at death for us. Wouldn't you agree?".

They roared with laughter at once. A pang of sudden confusion hit me.

"What's going on?".

"Alpha Brandon was not going to hurt you. He was merely trying to test you. He knows who you are and everyone knows how your father treated you. You don't need to explain".
