Chapter 44

Sophia's POV.

Brandon didn't tell me who it was but he asked me to make sure I always had someone around.

"I will go with you", a guard said as I walked out of my room to the kitchen. I shook my head and waved my hand, "It's completely not necessary, trust me. This is not needed".

He scoffed, "Only if you want the Alpha to break me into pieces".

He walked me to the kitchen and back, regardless of what I said. I protested a couple of times but it still led to the same result. After some days, I grew tired of talking and simply went with the flow.

"Brandon", I called him when he entered my room. "Brandon, I need to speak with you".

He asked me to carry on, "What could be the matter?".

"What do you mean?".

"I'm not comfortable with a guard following me head-on and not knowing the reason for it. What's wrong?".
