Sophia’s POV.

Seeing Alpha Caleb again brought back memories. Terrible ones. I shook my head many times as I tried to forget it but I just couldn’t. The way he dragged me to the high podium and asked me to stand there.

I remembered the way he accepted my apology and asked me if I was doing well. I nodded. In his eyes, I thought I saw care. He called me and made me feel like he loved me only to be called names and disgraced that way. As I remembered it, I felt a chill run down my spine. My baby kicked in response.

“Here, have a cup of water”, Brandon brought a cup my way. He sat close to me by the edge and handed it gently to me. “I will get you a glass of freshly made orange juice soon. It is being made”.

I accepted the glass cup and drank from it while he watched. He took it from me once I was done. “Are you alright?”.

“Mmm”, I nodded slowly, “Thank you”.

“You’re welcome”, he dropped the glass far on the other table, “May I ask what happened between you?”.
