Twilight was setting and Mildred knew it was time for her to leave her home territory to the home of the vampire hybrids.
She would have preferred to just reach out to them with a part of her soul that was connected to them but she wanted to find a way to mend their relationship in person first at least.
She said her goodbyes to Alpha White, who had intensified their security around his territory. Despite the fact he knew she could stand her ground against the vampires, he wasn't taking any chances with her safety. She was loved and very useful to him and so he ordered that she be escorted by 20 of his strongest beta werewolves to the home of the vampire hybrids as extra protection for her journey to and fro.
