CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
There appeared to be no ending to the tunnel. All she realized was that, despite a few twists and turns, it was still moving down gradually and in the same path. Occasionally, she could see passages off to the side or feel them with her palm on the surface, as she can tell by the glitter of the stone. She didn't notice any of them save to speed through in horror of Lycans or partially dark monsters emerging from her. She proceeded on about, lower and lower, and yet still heard nothing save the odd buzzing sound of a bat near her ears, which shocked her at first and then soon grew too common to notice. She's not sure how much longer she went on like this, dreading to go on, afraid to stop, till she was exhausted. Seemed like it went on forever, all the way to today and even beyond.

“Sweet Lord, I wish you a good morning. I was told that you're summoning me.” Averiya greeted. “Likewise, it’s such a beautiful day… I'd want to ask you if you could inform the Head of theElven guard'that I'm summoning him. Tell him we'll meet at the top of the hill, near the palace, where the dandelions are.” “As you wish, My Lady. But would you mind if I will help you to dress first for it was winter…” Princess Charlotte stood in front of the mirror, enthralled by her new winter gown, created by Averiya, her fairy friend at the same time her servant. She is dressed in a stripped-down version, a white dress fashioned of the petals of a philadelphus flower. It's shiny and sparkling, and when it glistens, it looks like snow. The delicate blue and silver colors on the lower portion of the dress are ideal for incorporating snowflakes into her attire. She also has a flowing, wonderful cape with diamonds and sparkles, as well as a snow-white tint.

Meanwhile, Ithildin and Isilme together with the people they’re leading have already arrived at the deep ford they'll travel through with the hippogriffs and other animals, as hippogriffs can't fly during the wintertime. The rest of the pathway was almost completely obscured by snow, except steeples and towering trees. Beyond it, a track can take you to the wood's edge and the thick jungles bridge's entryway. But Ithildin had informed them that since the good spirits of the woods had abandoned it, it was now frequently used by the Lycans, and the mountain road itself, he was told, became tangled and extended to insurmountable swamps where the routes had long been forgotten. Its northern entrance always seemed to be far to the west of the Windy Mountain, leaving them with a long and laborious march south once they reached the opposite side.The abandoned Meriel Kingdom's edge drew closer to the territorial boundaries of the lengthiest Fairy River south of the other hill,

The path is lined with bare winter trees, whose breathing rises in visible plumes to meet the darkening cloudy sky. They were off again while the shadows were still long, with a chilling chill in the air bringing sharpness to the leaves, bejeweled with frost, and that crunch underneath. So they continued walking for another two hours, seeing nothing except snowy grass, daisies, birds, and dispersed trees, as well as tiny herds of red deer nibbling or sitting in the shade at noon. Averiya occasionally noticed the harts' horns protruding from the tall grass, and at first,mistook them for dead nearby trees.They continued forward after dusk and into the twilight beneath the pouring snow because they were so eager to press on since Isilme had instructed they should reach the woodland gate early before nightfall. It’s already dark it was time for the people and Ithildin to sleep, to take a rest. Isilme let out his staff and stamp it on the ground making the snow fly in the air like dust and a magical spell was produced as it created fire. “Here, you've got to warm your cold bodies, I know you're all feeling cold.” The folks appear to be sleepy and fatigued, and Bimby, the Basajuan child, was nodding and almost closing his eyes. Isilme appeared out of nowhere. "It is time for us to sleep," he said, "¬for us… under this big tree we can rest sound and safe, but I warn you all not to forget what Ithildin said before he left us: you must not stray anywhere into the woods until the sun is up, on your peril." Averiya ended up finding that a warm-lined padded bag to sleep in made out of a big aqua lily pad which had already been arranged at the side of the tree trunk, on a sort of wooden platform between both the large foliage and the external surface. I managed to rise, gripping the jagging rocks with my fingers and furiously pulling myself up onto dry land. The icy waters ebbed and slammed against my back cruelly, almost pushing me into a state of hyperthermia. Muscle spasms wreaked havoc on my body, and I limped unconsciously into a big cave. As I crept farther into the tunnel, I saw that the light in the area was fading. I had two options: stay and die of exposure or enter and risk my life. I'm not one to give up quickly, so I continued deeper into the rocky hole."What an awful stench!"Nothing but my gasps and footsteps could be heard as I shuffled into the cave, both palms "magnetized" onto the cavern's even walls. It was excruciating to intrude into a strange land while blind.
