Alive

“What is happening to me?” I said breathlessly.

He took hold of my arm and examined it closely before letting out a sigh.

“That blade used on you was poisoned and slowly you are loosing your limp, Iris and soon enough, your heart is going to stop beating as well but you can prevent that from happening if you drink my blood right now” He ground out, desperation in his voice as he offered me his blood one more time.

I turned my head to the side in refusal and heard him growled. For a moment I just lay in the bathtub panting and he didn’t do anything further to persuade me even before he lowered himself to come seat beside me on the floor.

“I'm sorry I let this happen to you, Iris” He said quietly, looking down at his hand.

“I should have known something like this would happen to you if I leave you alone even for a second but I was selfish enough to think you would be okay but I’m even selfish now because I can’t let you loose your life because of me”

I closed my eyes tighter in response
