Chapter 49 A Kind of Relief

Coleen held her head high and looked at Dorothy without fear.

"If I had been worried about what others would say about me, I wouldn't have come all the way here. Mrs. Michaels, you do know that Joyce and Tyler's marriage is nothing but a contractual arrangement, right? Could it be that you were kept in the dark all this time?" Coleen said.

Jean heard her as she was walking in.

Upon seeing Jean, Coleen looked at her with a mocking glint in her eyes.

"She's just a tool my son keeps around to give blood to another woman."

Dorothy looked over at Jean with a stunned expression on her face.

Jean took a deep breath and walked over. She looked at Coleen and said calmly, "There's no need to bother my family with matters between Tyler and me."

Jean was worried about Joyce's health. Her sister had only just begun to recover a little. Hearing such shocking news might cause her to collapse again.
