Alessia's POV

"What?" I asked quietly as I looked directly into Stefano's eyes.

I saw depression in his eyes because of my reaction.

"The medicines you asked for are here," he answered me and I could feel the anxiety.

I squeezed my hand for him to release it. I saw that he wanted to speak but he just stopped.

"There's no need. Put it back," I promised him coldly and turned my back on him, but he stopped my shoulder which I slapped again and was silent as I turned to him. "Didn't you understand what I said?"

"Ales, I already paid for those drugs you said—"

"I didn't think you would do that after you doubted me, Stefano. So I just made my own medicine that won't need those medicines of yours—"

I was interrupted because a nurse approached me. "Mr. Ales, there are people with fever and body aches, what should we do?" the nurse asked me worriedly, not noticing Stefano anymore.
