"W-what do you mean?" asked Caraline with a stern face, "I have prepared a special team to handle your security. They're handpicked highly capable people. Why should you bother with your bodyguards, anyway? You can just sit back in your wheelchair and follow all my suggestions."

"Wouldn't it be better if the people we trust were the ones guarding us?" asked Deric.

"But that doesn't mean I can trust the people you trust." Caraline rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. She glanced at Deric, exhaling harshly. "I don't agree with your proposal."

"Fine. If that's your decision, then I've also decided to disagree with your plan to give me a personal bodyguard. I think the presence of the bodyguards in this house and the bodyguards following us from a few meters away is enough to make me feel safe."

"You are very annoying." Caraline yanked at the grass. "Can't you just shut up and obey my orders? Your safety is at stake right now and I don't want anything to happen to you."
