"Who is there!?"

The voice sounded cold and harsh to her ears that she instinctively put her hands over her ears.

It wa a rich baritone voice and Bella could have sworn that she had never heard a voice so cold as that all her life.

"I said who are you!" The voice went again.

It was like the voice had casted a spell on her, as her legs immediately glued to a spot, unable to move any further. Her legs threatened to give way like they could no longer carry her weight, but she struggled to keep herself standing.

No, not today! She thought.

She knew she should run. She wanted to ....... would've loved to. But she just couldn't. Her legs were suddenly just tired of moving.

"Damn it!" She swore under her breath.

"Identify yourself immediately!" The voice demanded.

This was simply bad luck for her. Why must it be today of all days that she would be caught like this? Now, there was no easy way out of this. She had to face it anyway.

Bracing herself up, she turned to look at the owner of the voice.

Her eyes met with cold hazel eyes that made her shiver down to her bones. She felt like her soul was being sucked away by the dangerous glint in his eyes.

The man was tall, but far more dangerous looking than handsome. Well, scratch that....... He was the combination of both. He was truly a beauty to behold. Probably the most handsome guy in the whole of crystal pack.

Her wolf began jumping in excitement inside of her. Well, that's only natural. Who wouldn't jump at the sight of such beauty?

Yet, she muffled to her wolf. "Shut up! Lolita. You bitch!"

Every sense in her was screaming run or look away but she refused to buckle in front of any man, be it a handsome or an ugly one.

"I'm waiting!" The man said again in a clear voice.

With her head raised high, Bella began; "Well, I-----" She trailed off.

Why did she do that? She shouldn't have looked into his eyes again. She knew she shouldn't, but it was like her eyes moved of their own accord. The problem was his eyes, they were burning with an intensity that could quench even the coldest heart.

Immediately her eyes met with his, a slight chill rippled through her. All her life, she had never encountered a colder gaze.

"Speak up!" His voice was stern and brooked no further argument.

She quickly wiped at the sweat that was trickling down her face. "Ehhm---- I actually---- I'm not---" she stuttered, looked at his face, then continued again. "I am Bella. I lost my way."

The words came out so free without stress that anyone would have bought it. But not the pretty man in front of her.

"Really?" He asked, giving her skeptical look.

His voice came down nice and clear this time around, making Bella relax a little. She had to come up with something else that would make her get away from this guy.

She had to do what she came there to do without being caught. Bella studied the guy's face closely now.

He has to be the most handsome man on earth. She thought as she seductively licked her lower lips.

The man didn't even do as much as notice that, instead her had a slight frown to his face. More like he gave her dirty look.

Of course, she knew he wouldn't fall for such tricks. As a fine man that he is, he must have seen different sort of seduction from girls. So what could she do to make him let her go in peace?

She had to get away before he alerted other guards. But then, he doesn't look like a guard. Maybe he was a relative or some kind of inside man or something.

But why would a man with such beauty come here to work in the chambers of the Alpha. She wondered.

Then an idea popped in. What if he also came for the same reason as hers?

"Are you-----" The guy cut her off with a slanted look.

"So, what are you doing here?" He asked.

"Like I said, I lost my way!." The reply came so sharp that she surprised even herself.

Good of you, Bella. She praised herself inwardly. That would give him a whole new impression that she wasn't a coward.

"I don't think so." He paused to study her facial expression carefully. "No one would ever lose their way and end up in the alpha's chamber of all places.

"Is that so?" Bella chuckled awkwardly, trying to think of what to say.

"I didn't even know that it was the alpha's chamber. But wait a minute, from the news I've heard, no one is allowed to come here, right?"

"Yes." The man replied, squinting his eyes, and trying to figure out where her questions were leading to.

"Then you would agree that we are in the same shoes now. You shouldn't be here as much as I shouldn't."

"Wow!" He laughed, probably finding it funny that she would come up with that idea to save her head.

Wow! He could laugh? Funny how he looked so different now that he laughed. She almost couldn't believe that he was the one who had killed her boldness few minutes ago.

His laughter was so annoying, yet sensual and pleasurable to the ear. Bella had to control the urge to tell him to laugh one more time.

"Will you be so nice to let me go. It would help save at least two head, you know?"

The guy seemed to find her amusing the more. "So you know the punishment is death?"

"Yeah, I do. Who doesn't know that the alpha doesn't allow anyone to go close to his chambers and the penalty for doing that is death!"

"You know you are very brave right?" He said, looking and at her with a stunned amusement clearly written on his face.

"You talk like you're an old man." She shot him a slanted look that made him smile. "What's your name by the way?'

"I don't think we are close enough to exchange names."

"Oh no!" Bella exclaimed, placing her hand over her mouth. "Don't tell me you're scared that I might report you!?"

"Report me?" He roared into laughter, his eyes flashing a dangerous red glint, far more dangerous than before. 'You wouldn't be doing that, 'cause I'm scared you might have to die!"
