She's Awake

The ray of sunlight pierced through the window and met my eyes, making me squint them as I turned my head away from the light. I raised my hand to shield my face but I froze when it didn't budge. Then I opened my eyes.

I was in my room, laying on my bed, my head facing the ceiling. The headache had stopped and my body did not seem to be in pain any longer, but my hands didn't seem to move.

"She's awake," a masculine voice said and I turned my head in the direction of the sound.

"That's good, how're you feeling?" Sonia who was sitting at one end of my room asked, getting up to move close to me. But then she stopped mid way.

"What happened?" I asked, trying to sit up.

"You went unconscious," she replied and I frowned.

"Why?" I glared into open space as I tried to remember why and when it happened.
