Try Harder

"Don't ever try that with me again, okay?"

His voice was deep and husky and it made me shiver.

"Yeah," I whimpered without a choice. He knew what he was doing and followed and had the upper hand at it.

"Good," he replied, taking a second to remain in his position before actually moving away from me.

I almost audibly pouted at his departure but I was glad I held it in. I watched him head towards my room door, he twisted the knob and took a step out but halted.

"Rest, you still did not finish the storage work," then he left.

"You can do better than that Hayley," I punched harder as Gray continued to motivate me.

"You're healed already, you should have more strength now," Gray continued and I obeyed, punching the hard foam box that he held against his body.

"I'm trying," I confessed and he scoffed

"Try harder," he insisted and I punched more. Getting frustrated, I wanted to get over it once and for all, I hit the box harder, focusing my strength and emotion on it.
