Chapter 20 - Limerence
Her heart is beating fast, and suddenly her ears begin to ring. It is the way her body reacts when she is very nervous. Her brain tries to process what is happening.

“Yeah, it's me,” he mutters. She senses that his voice sounds amazing and she scratches her throat to clear it. “Hi, Daniel,” she says the words with far-fetched poise.
