Chapter 41 - Limerence

He parks the car and looks at the digital clock in the center of the dashboard of the car, the one that says seven twenty-three in the morning. He turns his head to the right and smiles. She loves to admire that beautiful face.

“Thank you very much, Daniel. You shouldn't have bothered,” Harper tells him.

“It's not a bother, precious.” He reaches out and caresses her cheek. “It's the least I can do for my girlfriend.” The last word is said very mischievously.

Harper blushes and smiles nervously. It will take some time for her to come to terms with the idea that she is no longer single. It will take him a bit to get used to, too, but for now, he really enjoys watching her blush.

“I can wait for you to change and take you to work,” he says.

“Would you do that for me?” From the way she says it, Daniel senses that she is very surprised.

“You really ask?” h
