Friendship

My brain jolted as Rose took hold of my bags.

"Never mind your busy brother of yours. Because Ace make him support. He is busy helping Ace to become a future Alpha. Let's just head to your new room. I'll introduce you to your new roommates," she said.

I followed her into the house and was greeted by a wooden interior. There were wooden furniture, a floral decoration atop a wooden windowsill, and a grand wooden staircase adjacent to a large wooden doorway without a door. Inside, girls were gathered in what seemed like a dining area, focused on their meals. They glanced at me briefly, smiled and then resumed their meals. Rose led me up the wooden stairs to the second floor.

The second floor is wood floor and decorated with an aesthetically pleasing wooden table and chairs. The group of girls sitting and talking about something.

"Uno is good at fighting but I think he is not good to become future Alpha,"

They stopped talking and smiled in my direction as Rose and I passed by. And continue again.

There were lined doors running straight from left to right. We stopped at the center door where a name Pink and Lucy placarded. Rose knocked three times and waited. After a moment, a girl with pink curly hair reaches in her neck, dressed entirely in pink, pink short short, pink shirt, swung the door open with an exuberant smile.

"Good afternoon, Mama Rose!" she cheerfully greeted.

"Good afternoon, Pink. This is Infinite, Angelo's younger sister," Rose introduced me.

"Hello, Infinite. I'm Pink. Welcome to Kanna and welcome to the Women's Peach House," Pink welcomed me with a warm smile.

"Infinite, this is what I was talking about. Your new room and roommates. They'll give you a tour of the house and the whole streets of Kanna," Rose directed her attention to Pink.

"Don't overwhelm her, Pink. You might make her uncomfortable," Rose cautioned, to which Pink nodded twice, her excitement still palpable.

"And Lucy, be friendly," Rose added.

"Yes, Mama Rose," a voice from within the room responded.

"If you ever need anything, find me around the house. I'm always here. Once again, welcome to Kanna. I hope you'll enjoy your stay," Rose concluded.

"Thank you." I expressed my gratitude as Pink took my belongings and guided me inside.

"Goodbye, Mama Rose. We'll celebrate the start of our friendship now," Pink proclaimed before shutting the door.

Rose waved her aged hand and chuckled on what Pink said. With the door now fully closed, I took in my surroundings—a spacious room with a large window that couldn't be missed. The window spanned from the ceiling to the floor and had two distinct sections: one colorful and the other black and white. There was a small table surrounded by four large cushions in front of the window, and one girl was already seated on a cushion, observing me.

Unlike the warm smiles I'd received from Rose and the others, this girl wore a cold expression. I never returned the smiles to the others but I smiled at her, and her eyes widened for a moment before returning to their previous cold demeanor.

"That's Lucy," Pink identified the girl I'd been observing.

"Feel free to sit anywhere," Pink encouraged.

Following her advice, I settled in front of Lucy, who continued to watch me closely.

"I'm Infinite," I introduced myself to her.

"I know. Rose has mentioned your name many times already," Lucy responded, and I simply smiled at her remark.

I just watched as Pink started to carry my belongings up the stairs.

"What are you doing?" Lucy inquired.

"I'm taking Infinite's things to my bed. You said that, I can share a bed with her," Pink explained.

"No, I change my mind. Infinite and I will be sharing the bed," Lucy declared.

"Why the sudden change?" Pink questioned.

"Alright, then let's ask Infinite. I might be cold and harsh with everyone, including you. I tend to be bossy and can easily get under your skin. But I don't talk in my sleep or kick you while sleeping like Pink. So, Infinite, where would you prefer to sleep?" Lucy asked me seriously.

"To yours?" I responded uncertainly but her words resonating with me.

"Jeez Lucy, you're using your persuasive words again. Fine, I give up. But remember, Infinite, you're always welcome in my room," Pink conceded, taking my things to the other stairs.

Looking around, I noticed two additional stairs beside the one I initially ascended. Each set of stairs had two study desks beneath them, totaling four in the room. This space was much larger than necessary for the three of us. If my memory serves me correctly, this is my first-ever room.

"I baked some cookies for us to celebrate. Just wait a moment, I'll bring them out," Pink announced, arriving from one set of stairs and then dashing to the other.

Her energy was infectious. I glanced at Lucy, who was fixated on Pink. She was quite different from Pink, with long straight hair reaches her waist and straight bangs, clothed in all black: black dress, black shoes and black socks.

"Here they are," Pink said, settling onto a couch beside me and placing a pink container on the table.

Upon opening it, I saw cookies inside.

"Feel free to have as many as you want, Infinite. I made them specially for you." I picked one up and took a bite; it was surprisingly salty, as if she'd accidentally mixed up the salt and sugar.

I forced myself to swallow and took another bite.

"Well, how do they taste?" Pink inquired, a hopeful smile on her face.

I didn't want to dampen her spirits.

"They're alright," I replied.

Lucy grabbed one of the cookies and took a bite, her expression quickly turning sour.

"Why are these cookies salty? What flavor were you going for?" Lucy asked Pink with a disgusted tone.

Pink's eyes widened, and she quickly grabbed a cookie herself.

"Oh no! I'm so sorry, I messed up. I used salt instead of sugar." I knew she'd be disappointed.

"It's alright, you can make better ones next time," I reassured her, attempting to lighten the mood.

She managed a faint smile, while Lucy simply let out a sigh.

"I also baked cookies. Check my drawer." Lucy's comment.

And Pink dash to the stairs where Lucy's drawer is.

"I knew she might mess up, so it's a good thing I baked some too," Lucy explained.

I smiled at her. Despite their differences, I understood that their friendship was resilient. They were fortunate to have each other; a true friendship in this tough world was as rare as a precious stone. If you were lucky enough to find it, the next step was refining it, eventually transforming it into a beautiful gem.

After savoring Lucy's perfectly baked cookies, Rose knocked on the door, reminding me of the impending werewolf ritual set for tonight. I nodded at her and having possitive outlook in this ritual.
