Sixty

Melody's POV:

I felt hurt more than I should've. For a second, I had thought Asher would really help me. For a second I had thought he didn't hate me like that day at the beach.

But the way he had shut me out. That had hurt.

He had left the room leaving me alone here. I felt guilty of ruining the mood. I shouldn't have opened my stupid mouth. But I knew that Asher knew the reason I was in the hospital. He just wouldn't tell me. Knowing that he knew everything about my past increased the growing feeling of curiosity within me.

I closed the television and walked up to the window, looking out. The rain was still going on. I had no idea where Asher was. I looked at the dark, stormy night. A branch kept hitting the window producing a knocking sound. I opened the window feeling the sudden rush of cold, damp air hitting my face.

The storm hadn't stopped. I took the branch and swept it aside. Closing the window again, I was relieved as the knocking sound disappeared.
