Kate’s POV
When I woke up, the nurse was already in the room for round check-up. I wiped my face. Melissa was already awake but she was weak.
She kept repeating a name “Max…Max.” I kept wondering who Max was. “She suffered from mental shock,” the doctor explained.
“She will be better after a good best rest,” he said assuringly.
Emily’s POV
I woke up and found Stanley sleeping by bed side. I was very happy watching him sleep.
I kept wondering what would have happened if was not able to see him again. I caressed his hair. He woke up and looked at me with eyes full of longing.
We both hugged each other. I kept crying on his shoulders. “Babe, nothing will happen to you, I am here.”
Stanley’s POV
I was pleasantly surprised that Emily was already up. We both hugged each other.
Considering what happened yesterday, I vowed to never leave her side again. “I will not leave you to yourself again babe.”

Stanley’s POV “I heard that during Smith’s trial, the judges will be sitting en banc.” Nobody was surprised. “Maybe he will receive the death penalty; even though it is a bench trial,” said Kayla.
