Accusing him wrongly

Hardin's POV

I returned home late at night, tired and exhausted after a slightly successful outing. I walked directly to my room and headed straight to the shower to take a quick shower. Not long after, I came out of the bathroom and walked straight to my bed, sitting by the edge of the bed. My mind suddenly wandered off to Freda. I remembered that I had asked them not to come out of their rooms until I returned home. I then remembered that I was going to call Jim when I got back. I reached for my phone and dialed the number.

“Yoo coz, what's going on?” He said immediately he picked up the call. I was not surprised that he had not changed.

“Hey, Jim. What's up?” I replied as I leaned backward to rest my back on the pillow.

“Nothing much. Just here doing my shit. How are you, buddy?” He asked and I nodded my head.

“Very well buddy. Is business flowing well over there?” I asked, and he hummed for a moment before responding.

“I have been off the tracks for a while now, homie.” He said,
