Chapter 26

ARIA's perspective

I woke to the feeling of a gentle hand that

caresses my cheeks, my eyes opened slowly, and I saw the white ceilings, when I turned to the side, I saw Neon’s worried eyes and the white walls around the bed.

I was about to lift my hand when I noticed the IV on my wrist.

A weak smile crept onto Neon’s face. “You are awake.” He was seated on the edge of the bed, he drew nearer to me.

I hummed and tried to lift myself from the bed. He stopped me and pressed a button on the bed and it raised into a sitting position.

“I’m in a hospital?” I spoke after I found my voice. Last night I remembered I was in his bed, and now I’m in a hospital.

“You passed out last night, you were a bit dehydrated and I need to have your ribs checked, you will go for a scan here at the hospital. I have made a private arrangement for you.” His hand tucked my hair neatly behind my ears.

I glanced at the room. There was a two seater chair, a small table and a TV set. We were the only ones in there.
