Margot raised her head slowly. She became even more nervous when she saw everyone looking at her silently.

Margot was embarrassed as she stood frozen, not knowing what to do. Nevertheless, in the next second, someone burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! Come on, don't be so serious. All of you are scaring Curt's wife. Look at her. She's stuttering already!"

Another person chimed in, "That's right. Curt will accuse us of bullying his wife."

Right then, Martin, who was well into his seventies, spoke. "There's no need to be so uptight, Margot. Take a seat."

As the mother-in-law, Ashley immediately waved at Margot. "Margot, come over and sit with me."

Margot turned her head to look. Then, she quickly bowed politely and greeted, "Elias, Ashley."

"Have a seat. There's no need to be so restrained and formal. Since you've married Curt, this is your home. There's no need to feel like a guest in your own house."
