Margot thought of calling a cab over to pick them up. But the moment that they stepped out from the house, she saw a black car parked outside the courtyard, and next to it was Royce.

Margot halted her steps, not wanting to go further. But who knew the child next to her had already made a move. Laura ran toward him with a smile. "Uncle Royce, you're here early! You're in charge of being our driver today."

Royce ruffled Laura's hair and opened the door for her. "Sure, I will be at your service today. Now, get in the car."

Noticing that Margot didn't come over, Royce smiled radiantly. "What's wrong? Are you afraid that I'm going to eat you up?"

Margot's gaze flickered, feeling a little uneasy. "D—Don't you have anything else to do?"

"You're right." He closed the door for Laura and walked to the passenger side, opening the door. "The more you try to avoid me, the more suspicious it looks. Don't you think so? And besides, we're not in any relationship, so what are you afraid of?"
