Not together anymore

Eric and I stood straight, at once. It didn’t feel true. It felt like he mistook someone else for him.

“What? What did you say?”

“I’m sorry I went near to their building as I was curious about them. While I was stalking them, I saw him. He was in the car along with his father. They were talking to each other.”

“You… you might have mistaken…”

“No! I know his face. I saw him in pictures. Trust me, he is now with his father. He… he might have left…”

“Mr. Rodney!” I shouted. “Don't finish the sentence. He didn’t leave me. He must be up to something.”

I sat, holding my head. Though I was sure Hayden wouldn’t leave me, somehow the truth scared me.

“Princess! I saw it with my own eyes. I risked my life not to give you false information. You may believe it or not but the truth is those people are not trusted.”
