Jaxon’s POV

“What do you want to do tonight?” I ask, looking at the road ahead as I drive back to the packhouse. It’s nice to bring her home, even if it’s earlier than planned. The black and blue bruises on her chest and neck, the slight rasp in her voice—it all reminds me how close I came to losing her.

I swear, I just need five minutes alone with that fucker that did this, and I will make sure he never touches her again. I don’t care if he was my father figure, mentor, or even Alpha. If anyone deserves to die, it’s him.
