Mel’s POV

We all gather in the huge meeting room. The wooden table goes from one end of the room to the next, with a long row of chairs on both sides. Jaxon sits at the head, Ameer and I at his left and right. The other chairs are filled with pack members of various ranks, including Bonnie and Dominic.

I chew on my bottom lip, hoping that no one smells Jaxon on me. I walked past Talia earlier on the way to the bathroom, and she just sneered at me. I'm hoping she doesn't spread around any gossip, but knowing her, the entire pack will have a more twisted opinion of me by the end of the day.
