CHAPTER EIGHT

Memories of Bussy were slowly fading from my mind as academic activities continued in the semester. Out of curiousity one certain day, I left my hostel and headed for a cultural event which was organised by the Delta State Students Association. The said event was slated for a Saturday, and I made up my mind to attend it. They were quite a number of students in my class who hailed from Delta State, and most of them were present at the event. They were dance troupes, masquerades, traditional fashion display, cuisine exhibition, meet and greet and announcement of the incoming and outgoing exco members. It was an interesting event and I caught Aurelia laughing heartily at the event. The cultural event extended into the night, and I decided to leave the venue. Some metres from the field, I saw two chocolate-skinned girls trudging across the field. I hurried towards them, and waited until one of them left the former and exited the large field.
